Our favorite hobby is to study birds and wildlife, that is to be with nature

Singapore Zoo: The Singapore Zoo is acclaimed as one of the world's most spectacular zoos. Spreading over 28 hectares, it is home to over 3,600 mammals, birds and reptiles.  We also visited Night Safari. As dusk falls, the night is just starting for over 1,000 nocturnal animals. Observe as they rise to frolic, graze and hunt their night away! Embark on a fascinating journey through the Night Safari the worlds first wildlife night park! We saw many nocturnal animals including bats.

Above pictures of woodpecker were taken in the Jain Vishva Bharati campus, Ladnun, Rajsthan.

Guide to Wildlife of the San Francisco Bay Area (USA): Read interesting blog http://blog.sfbaywildlife.info

The Bay Area is a prime destination for discovering the wonderful and wild world of California wildlife.

Interested in whale-watching?  Here is a link that will give you important tips http://www.sfbaywildlife.info/activities/whale_watching.htm

Picture shows Jyotindra Zaveri and Ameet Zaveri on a whale watching trip in the Bay.

The short movie clip below shows the Pashan lake and some water birds (Chandani chowk to Wakad highway), Pune.

We have visited many Bird sanctuaries and Wildlife sanctuaries in India.  Click here to see the list.

  •  Great Indian Bustard

We also enjoy shooting wildlife (of course with a movie camera).  For example, I could shoot the Great Indian Bustard, when I visited the sanctuary 'Nanaj' near Solapur.  Let me know if you would like to see this movie.  This is one of the rare birds.

  •  Tadoba National Park

We have stayed a week in Tadoba - shooting Tiger, Gaur, Chital, etc. Let me know if you would like to see the movie.

  •  BNHS

Click here for an exciting report prepared by our daughter Amrapali Zaveri, of her trekking to Himachal - Manali.  The trip was organized by WWF, Pune.
