Therapeutic Thinking or Anupreksha

  • Aim: "Sampikkhae Appagamappaenam": Perceive and realize the deepest and highest levels of your consciousness by your conscious mind. See yourself through yourself. For perception and realization of the self, practice Preksha meditation. The technical word is 'Anupreksha'.
    Our existence is a combination of various levels:

    1) Physical. 2) Mental. 3) Emotional. 4) Spiritual.

    We present our personality through our behavior at physical level. Behavior is the result of attitudes formed at mental level. Attitudes are the precursors of all our behavior & activities. However, the main causes of attitudes are our emotions, passions & feelings at the third level of our existence i.e. the emotional level. They are the forerunners of all the attitudes. At this deeper level, we have our patterns of learned & unlearned instincts.

    Therapeutic Thinking is a comprehensive system of exercises in the scientific meditation for
    · Attitudinal change
    · Behavioral modification
    · Integrated development of personality.
    It is a training course based on blending of ancient & modern scientific concepts. It is designed to develop positive attitudes and power of mental equilibrium, by awakening and developing ones own inherent personality. It is an effective tool and result oriented method for transmuting negative qualities into positive virtues.

    It is now proven that there is a real connection between the state of mind and the state of health. Three emotions: Fear, Anger and Guilt, are the great enemies of health. These are all manifestations of negative thinking. When these negative emotions are repressed into subconscious mind they fester, and give rise to anxiety and depression, resulting in psychosomatic diseases. Such as, high blood pressure, heart diseases, chronic fatigue, stomach ulcer, etc.

    It is possible to learn the step-by-step method of reaching the next level of existence i.e. subconscious mind level and formulates the appropriate change. Preksha Meditation exercises demand a practitioner of learning and practicing two very important skills:

    1. Total Relaxation: It is the result of an innate protective mechanism, which counteracts the dangerous effects of physical as well as emotional stresses by effectively draining out physical, mental and emotional tensions.

    2. Mental Concentration: As the human mind has no restriction of space and time, it is necessary to focus its attention at one place and in the present tense to be able to use its powers effectively.

The program consists of lecture explaining modern scientific concepts and practical exercises of mediation. These are proven steps, which are perfected and honed for more than 25 years.
