Leopards, Sloth Bears, Gaur, Wild Dogs, Hyenas, Civet and Jungle cats, many species of Indian deer like Sambar, Cheetal, Nilgai, and Barking Deer, and the Indian Marsh Crocodile can also be easily spotted. Tadoba is also an ornithologists paradise with a varied diversity of aquatic birdlife, and Raptors.

  • Fauna : Although the major attraction is the Tiger, large herds of Chital, the stately Sambar, the elusive Barking Deer, the fleet footed Chausinga, the majestic Gaur, the robust Nilgai, the shy Sloth Bear, the whistling Wild Dogs, the omnipresent Wild Boar, and the stealthy Leopard make lasting impressions on the visitors to this Reserve.

  • As the night falls the Small Indian Civet, the Palm Civet, the Ratel, the Flying squirrel make their presence felt. The lake attracts many water birds like Cattle Egrets, Purple Moorhens and Jacanas. It also has marsh crocodiles at the breeding farm.

Tadoba National Park.  This was memorable trip to Tadoba National Park, near Nagpur, India. Merely by emailing to save Tiger, or save trees, has become fashion, because it is easy. Take some initiative and try to learn more about birds and animals, by actually visiting wildlife sanctuaries and bird sanctuaries. Become member of Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS).   We had gone with books such as 'The book of Indian Birds' by Salim Ali & J. C. Daniel (1983) and The book of Indian Animals by S. H. Prater.  Tiger has become a buzz word, probably only authorities can do something about preserving endangered species. You and I cannot. Organize bird watching trips. Get inspired by nature and conserve nature. Make action plan to save flora and fauna, now, before it is too late.

  • Location: 45-km From Chandrapur And 100 Kms From Nagpur
    Coverage Area: 120-sq-kms
