Mangal
Bhavna From: Acharya Tulsi and (the then Youvacharya) Mahapragya Rajaldesar: 19 October 1993
We see Jethabhai as 'Adhyatma Vibhushan'. This 'Anshan' (Fast-unto-death) will set a
new example for everybody.
From Jain Center of
Northern California, USA Harilal Shah
20 October 1993
Respected Shri Jethabhai,
We pay tribute to your adventure! Your will power! Your power of
renouncement! Nobody will be able to forget your spiritual services.
People will remember for many generations, your dedication by writing
books to spread Preksha Meditation. Especially Shraman Sthitpragyji and
Shrutpragayji will never forget your teachings. They remember that you
have spared your valuable time to increase their spiritual knowledge and
therefore they are they are obliged.
MID DAY,
Bombay: 18 November 1993
Jethalal Zaveri renounced his body on Tuesday night. He died peacefully,
mentally alert till the end. He continued with his ritual that one must
remain detached in life. Not surprising words from a man who remained
detached in death. |
From Muni
Mahendra Kumar [Son] 7 October 1993
You have shed light on the scientific aspect of PREKSHA MEDITATION and
this will be written in golden letters in the history. Your dedicated
service to Jain Sashan is unparallel. It is a matter of pride for
the entire family that you are given award of Tatvagna Shravaka
by Acharya Tulsi and the highest ever award of Samaj Bhushan
by Terapanth Mahasabha.
From Rakesh
Muni, October 1993 Jaipur
Anand Shrawak was one of the ten main
Shrawaks of Bhagavan
Mahaveer. I think Jethabhai Zaveri is Anand Shrawak of recent times.
The
Metropolis, Bombay, 19 November 1993
The End when it came for Jethabhai Zaveri was peaceful. Exactly 41 days
after he decided to go on Samthara, taking no food, he died at 1.25 a.m.
on 17 November 93. More than 2500 people accompanied the Palkhi on its
triumphant procession and its final journey to the crematorium in Sion,
Bombay. Nowhere was there any expression of sorrow, rather it was all
quiet joy. |
From
Mr. J. R. Danani Managing Director Bharat Bijlee Ltd.
Mr. Zaveri was a man of many attributes, scientific knowledge,
objectivity, a practical approach. A rare combination of supreme
self-confidence and humility. An amazing ability to remain completely calm
in the face of catastrophes or provocations, entrepreneurship and courage.
A philosophical and studious bent of mind.
First, his deep knowledge of and interesting Metaphysics, this I believe
emanated from his scientific bent of mind and his training at the Indian
Institute of Science in Bangalore. He delved deeply into content of
metaphysics in Jainism, lectured, and wrote treatises on this subject.
This also perhaps led him to the study, practice, and teaching of
meditation.
His sense of humor. He could find the potential for humor in most
situations or at times even created such situations.
Mr. Zaveri had a fine ability to give the appropriate value and importance
to the various aspects that constitute the life even life itself as is
shown by his last act on this earth.
